Sarah was married to J.A.D. Childress of Fulton County. One boy was
born to them before he joined the Confederate Army and she returned to
her father until the war was over. After his return from the war, four
more children were born to them before her death in 1872. their home
was built on the 50 acres given her by her father. They were a
prosperous family and were buried in the Utoy Baptist Churchya

Again, nothing is known of this child of John's second
marriage, except for the bequest by his father of a chest,
whose contents are not stated. In addition, he was to share
with his brothers (Jonas excepted) in the remaining lands
and personal property of his father. However, deeds to this
effect are not of record, nor is he again mentioned. Thus,
